The light…oh, the light! These images from Erin at E Cubed Photography are stunning. Emma is such an effortless beauty and Erin has created such natural images.

Erin describes this session, “This session was for Miss Emma. She was turning 15 and chose to have a photo session as part of her gift from her parents. She told me that she was excited to go shopping for her outfits and chose bits and pieces from many different places so she had an eclectic feel.

Being that we are in a small rural town we often have to use the same location over and over again for shoots. However this was not the case with Emma. We were allowed to use the private property of a very nice person who gave us free reign over where we can shoot. There were beautiful large grass areas, palm trees, a pool, exotic birds, and stair cases galore. Did I mention it was overlooking a river into Mexico? Yes, we were incredibly lucky to have such a place at our disposal. We tried really hard to keep her poses appropriate for the location and her age. Being that she was very shy, I wanted to be able to have her quiet yet playful personality show through without asking her to be uncomfortable and awkward. She was a trooper. The goal was to keep things natural. In the end her images had this beautiful stillness and peace about them that make me feel like she was represented truthfully. Too be that beautiful yet so humble at the age of 15 is a very rare attribute.”

As a small town girl myself, I love the opportunity to use new locations. And this was such a great use of this property, Erin! You can see more of Erin’s work on her Facebook page or website.

Cheers!
