I adore contrasting wardrobes and locations. It really draws the viewer in to the image in an unexpected and interesting way. Today’s featured session from Megan Evans Photography creates this contrast beautifully.

Megan explains, “We shot at the Newlin Grist Mill which was just the perfect location. It was 3:30 in the afternoon so the light wasn’t ideal because it was super bright – but the overhang on the side of the building gave us the perfect amount of shade. The red barn wood and the stone wall both provided great backdrops and the glittery dress really popped against them.

My niece is a junior at Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills, PA. My sister sent me a cell phone picture of my niece in her junior prom dress and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to do a session with her wearing it. She borrowed the dress from a friend and it fits her like a glove. It’s very old Hollywood glamour and the back is very dramatic.”2015-04-14_0009
